Taylor Swift’s post-Eras Tour hiatus didn’t last long. Just four days after completing the record-breaking tour, she was back in the spotlight for a good cause.
The singer, who celebrates her 35th birthday tomorrow, was spotted at Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, where she spent a few hours posing for photos and filming TikToks with patients, staff members and a therapy dog. (Insert “I scratch your head, you fall asleep like a tattooed golden retriever” joke here.)
One video showed two children dancing to “Bad Blood” before the hospital room curtain behind them pulls back to reveal Swift, dancing and singing along with them.
Swift later thanked the same group for “saying my outfit was tea.” Said outfit, per Sarah Chapelle of Taylor Swift Styled, was a green and blue plaid matching button-down shirt and pleated skirt by Miu Miu, valued at $2,250 apiece. And she hasn’t ditched the red bottoms yet — her shoes were tall black heeled Louboutins ($1,995).
Though boyfriend Travis Kelce wasn’t in attendance, he and his Kansas City Chiefs were the topic of many conversations. One child held up a red and gold Chiefs-themed blanket, which read “GO TAYLOR’S BOYFRIEND” — Swift seemed to get a kick of out that one.
Elsewhere in the hospital, Swift autographed the cover of a copy of her recent Eras Tour book while a child petted the therapy dog and admitted to liking Kelce “now.”
“Yes,” Swift replied emphatically. “Me too. That’s an absolute yes on that one. Is he your favorite player?”
“Yeah, even though it was Patrick (Mahomes),” the kid replied.
“Good, these are good answers,” Swift said. “You are acing this.”
