By now, we’ve all seen the photos of the end of the Eras Tour wrap party that Travis Kelce reportedly threw for Taylor Swift. Guests dressed up as different eras (including Kelce as his “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” top hat and tux), donned friendship bracelets, and Swift finally got to be on the receiving end of a 22 hat.
If you’re looking for New Year’s Eve celebration inspo, look no further than the queen of midnights herself. We’re laying out the full game plan on how to execute a Taylor Swift-themed NYE party.
Before you go cleaning up bottles on New Year’s Day, here’s how to ring in the new year, Swiftie-style. And tag Taypedia in your social posts if you use any of these suggestions so we can celebrate with you!
Invites
We’re channeling the Midnights era for your invites, whether you opt for a Partiful, Evite or IRL invitation. Here’s a template to get you started:
Meet Me at Midnight
Dear Reader,
No need to attend New Year’s parties from outside this year — you won’t be On Your Own this NYE, Kid!
It feels like the perfect night to get Bejeweled, bring a Sweet Nothing (aka appetizer / dessert / your roommate’s cheap-ass screw-top rosé) if you want to, and dance like we’re made of Starlight. We’ll drink cheap wine and make believe it’s champagne until we’re cleaning up bottles on New Year’s Day.
Friends/Lovers welcome, but I Wish You Would RSVP accordingly, because our [insert house, apartment, etc. here] is not Bigger Than The Whole Sky.
Decor

Glitter on the floor is a little messy — we might suggest saving that for a tablecloth-covered food & drink spread. This confetti spread ($12-14 from Pop of Gold) even includes polaroid cutouts to really set the scene.
For wall decor, we love this “Meet me at midnight” banner ($14 to 17.50 from Paper and Parties). If you’re feeling a little crafty, this virtual download ($4.20 from Happi Prints Studio) lets you print out and customize your own friendship bracelet banners — an “End of an Era” banner feels doubly appropriate for a Swiftie NYE party this year.
And what’s a Swiftie party without an actual friendship bracelet making station? This pack ($25.99 from Amazon) has everything you need to take the moment and taste it.
Food
- Chicken tenders with ketchup and (seemingly) ranch
- Olive Garden breadsticks, to share with a friend of yours
- Hair falling into place like Domino’s (pizza)
- Swift’s own chai cookie recipe
- Breakfast at midnight: Set up a DIY waffle bar complete with all your favorite toppings, such as whipped cream, sprinkles, syrup and chocolate chips
Drinks
- French Blonde: Swift has been known to enjoy this cocktail, which features gin, St-Germain, grapefruit juice, Lillet Blanc and lemon bitters.
- Passionate as Sin: Mocktail drinkers can enjoy this Red-inspired recipe from Well Rooted Health & Nutrition, which consists of cranberry juice, lime juice and ginger beer, and topped with cranberries, a lime wedge and basil.
- Lavender Haze: Nothing says “Meet me at midnight” more than this sparkly purple cocktail. An official pre-party ahead of the Eras Tour kickoff in Glendale, Arizona, featured its own lavender haze cocktail, which contained Empress Indigo Gin, lemon juice, falernum, rhubarb bitters and elderflower tonic. (Optional: edible purple glitter.)
- This night is sparkling (wine) or Champagne Problems — depending on where your bubbly is from.
Playlist
You’re obviously going to need a lot of Taylor tunes, as well as ones featuring her Eras Tour openers (Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams, Benson Boone), pals (Selena Gomez, Lorde, Beyoncé) and past collaborators (Kendrick Lamar, Zayn Malik, Ice Spice). Plus Harry Styles, because what’s a party without reminiscing about your favorite ex?
