Did Taylor Swift just drop her biggest hint yet that ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ is coming?

Welcome back to Clowneila Street, I’ll be your tour guide. Are we finally getting Reputation (Taylor’s Version)

There aren’t many songs left in Taylor Swift’s massive catalog that she hasn’t performed yet, but she managed to do so Friday night in Toronto, her second of two shows here this weekend and her fifth-to-last Eras Tour performance ever.

She also seemed to drop the biggest hint yet that Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is in our not-too-distant future.

During the surprise song set, Swift began her piano mashup with “Cassandra” (from The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology“), the only remaining TTPD song she’d yet to play live. She then segued into “Mad Woman” (from folklore), a frequently-requested mashup from Swifties since the release of TTPD

You thought that was exciting enough? Enter a verse from “I Did Something Bad” (Reputation). Couple all of that with an entire stadium lit up with green lights, and you elicit some pretty loud screams from the crowd and plenty of out-loud speculation if that means Swift might announce Reputation (Taylor’s Version) that night.

“No one likes a mad woman / what a shame she went mad / you made her like that / what a shame she went mad / so I said I did something bad,” she sang.

Earlier in the surprise set, Swift began playing the chords for what turned out to be an “Ours” (Speak Now) x “The Last Great American Dynasty” (folklore) mashup. But she paused for a moment before addressing the crowd: “That’s the wrong key. So wish me more luck than that.”

I think there’s been a glitch?

Remember when Swift debuted the gold Reputation bodysuit after 131 (of course) shows wearing the same red one… and then just never said anything? It seems she’s continuing her cryptic and machiavellian ways of dropping a clue but offering no further information.

With a little bow, Swift then sauntered straight over to her stage diving position and swam away. There will be no explanation, indeed.
